Poem Number 725
i am a tornado
blowing change across the landscape
embracing everything i encounter
yet unable to touchdown
for fear of the devastation
it would wreak
twisting and turnining through the air

Belonging

Commentary:
I feel I should explain
my modern condition
of alienation.
I don't really come
from anywhere.
You see the country of my birth,
no longer exists,
and I have moved at least
three times a decade
ever since.
So it is hard to say,
I am from here.
In this sense,
I am just like everyone else.

WHO AM I ??????

Commentary:
The doctor said I was just a nervous
no need to panic or to get frantic.
See the little pills he gave me?
he said that they would easy my mind.

I guess that was easy for him to say
cause I can’t even find my mind.
See the pretty colors on the bars
I don't know is that a good sign?

As I sit here contemplating my hand,
I know that I am really getting better,
because all these strange lines I understand.
Now if I could just remember, who am I?

The doctor said I am getting better.
I can go home when I find my feet.
This is a nice wrap around sweater
They just gave it to me a while ago.

They say these things I see, will go away.
There is a person lying in my bed,
I can see him lying there in the mirror.
I wonder at his sanity, I should be there instead.
