Poem Number 346
Lost In Autumn

Commentary:

She chills me
With desire for heat
swirling winds
with a lingering kiss
of summer
carnival colors
stripped to basics
she reveals the essence
of all that's gone before
soft in her approach
stealthy in the night
she whispers
secrets in cold moon breaths
and teases
with warm seductive glances
honeyed promises
of rest and luxury
comfort and spices
long dark nights
filled with magic and yearning
Autumn comes on tender feet of silk
wrapped in black
musky soft
all embracing
with a cool kiss
and a welcome respite
from life and light
