Barfly Fishing
Commentary:
I cast an interested glance
in her general direction
like a handmade fly
on a smooth, unrippled lake.

It skipped upon the surface
like a flat and polished stone
leaving no ripples whatsoever
and sinking unoticed and untasted
into the soft and lonely mud.
