Poem Number 379
how is the weather this evening?
there seems to be a tempest brewing
out over the east coast
composed of mostly serious folks
Except in St. John's Newfoundland - THE ROCK
The Gaelic flows and fiddles flay into a boozey night
Blue white icebergs bob dangerously in the Bay
there'd be no call to call it a day
so early on a sunday night
work can wait, for no one can find the clock
Along the cobblestons we cobble arm and arm singing out!
Staggering toward the smell of the Atlantic from the dock..
Commentary:
:) it's 4 1/2 hour ahead of my time, so it's already Monday in St. John's as we crawl drunken along St. George street enjoying the nightlife.
