Poem Number 313
Amoeba A and Amoeba B

Commentary:
Amoeba sex is useful to describe the sharing that occurs in a truly interactive creative process. When we talk and listen we share bits of ourselves – inner parts, mental not bodily parts – via a channel or bridge made out of our psychic bodies. This mutual response can be quite satisfying. Amoeba sex is a more accurate analogy of what occurs here between people than human sex. In human hetero sex, the bits only go one way. Human hetero sex is more like a lecture than a conversation. Amoeba sex is truly mutual because amoebas have no gender and no hierarchy. Is amoeba sex more fun? I cannot speak from primordial experience and have no opinion in this matter.
