Poem Number 23316
Summer born of fire
Leaning toward the source, exposed
to see a little truth unclothed.
But it's arcing and sparking bare wire
It's not contrary to wisdom, can't be
dog days yet, can't be

Poem Number 23317
Folktales told in circles, infinite loops,
jeweled constellations, unchanging movements,
ballet, expressions of love, a food chain
described as a web that never stops
catching us as we fall.
These are the answers
to each of your questions.
Here is the response
to your antiphonal psalm.

Poem Number 23318
That single sunflower in my garden,
taller than me, blooms as big as a dish.
It dips in the wind and faces away
from my window, always away.

Let me say goodbye

Commentary:
Release me from your spell and simply say goodbye,
let me collect the smiles that with you I could not stop,
My fleeting footsteps on the porch of your elusive soul
The soft kisses that I meant to give you but could not.
.
Let me go away carrying memories in my pockets,
the few pieces left of a love that I so tried to show,
those passionate kisses that made my spirit glow.
Do not cry for me out of mercy, just let me go.
.
My bags are filled with desires of what will not be,
eventhought once we swore our love was forever.
I will surely miss the sunsets that we forgot to see,
the mornings when we will not wake up together.
.
.Let the moon's tears and mine become one ,
I will not look for your face in a cold starry night,
nor I will keep you warm by holding you tight,
as I always did when I glanced a those distant lights.
.
Bid farewell to me swiftly and do not look back,
Let this painful adieu conquer the fear within me.
Allow me to live among the leaves in the wind
and like them, learn again, what it is to be free.
.
