When a dream is not a dream
And reality calls you
Back from where things do not seem
where your breakfast is bland
and your coffee takes no cream
so the day breaks new,its only purposeis serving you
as dreams evolve, ... they breathe life
they shed tears, ... are afflicted with pain
experience pleasure, ... and the feeling of joy
and they with life,or do they?
pehaps we dream forever
toying with plastic pearls
skeleton fingers running a rosary
souls in everlasting rem sleep
walking sheeplike along narrow stairway
In P.T Barnums Funhouse
Lured by huge colorful signs
Until we find ourselves
On the wrong side of a revolving door
Realizing too late that Egress
Is not an exotic bird
And we have squandered our admission
Damned to haunt the abandoned mind of artist
that love their work and have no skill

A very good start. Rather a lame middle (mine). Now all it needs is a clever ending. --Jerald
