Poem Number 946
I died at Stalingrad
at Ypres and Sobibor
I died when no one was looking
When nobody cared
about me , only a yard of gained territory
And a little blood in the snow? That will melt with the spring
Push the dead and broken under the soil
Soon no one will remember that I did exist
In faded pictures and mothers heart
From my grave I hear the mumble of politians plotting for my son
Commentary:
a sad and true tale, ... thought provoking ... well done phil and pen
