Poem Number 8851
School let us off early.
Back home, barged in on dad;
naked below the belt,
was phone-chatting with Mom;
strange girl's head bobbed in lap!
Shocked, I rushed to aunt Blythe.
"True, it's adultery, child,
but pappa's good worker!"
said auntie, with twinkle.

Commentary:
most feel safer in the yellow pages than in the morning papers' strange dreams, - some prefer the comfort of reality's calls, away from the answered invitations of calls for blood screams.
- Jim, your poem's in a category of its home.
-------
- the tall dandelion field..where the unnoticed should sooner be said, and not acted, but it's always the reverse.

-and its love is not for good.

under this poem... what would another human be other than..?

Poem tries to reduce unsavory White House events to its basic elements that average folks understand. Polls show that despite happenings (e.g. adultery, etc.), the people (personified in aunt Blythe) still approve of the President's performance (e.g. "good worker"). Thanks for all your comments, on a tough subject. == Jim

ummn. . .sonny calahan is my "former" uncle. . .we jhad some strain in the faimly relationship when he sued my dad for control over his company. I have very very little respect for either the president or uncle sonny, who was the man that clinton was talking to. bad bad bad men. grrrr. . .

No thinking average person, "good worker," citizen, should approve of that behavior. Too often, though, they do, manifest in some of the thriving industries in this country. The White House happenings are not to be approved of or go-aheaded. In addressing the issues , what people are not to be in danger of forgetting is that everyone will someday face the same, and certainly more extensive, life scrutiny by the highest of authorities. Whether on television, radio, or in everyday encounters, all the things that speak against the illicit actions are the jest targets.
Disciplinary action is very much in order for men the President. Living a better life,.. another good way to disapprove of common habits people hopefully, deep down, people don't want to participate in anymore.
-------
Thanks for explaining Jim, I may be dense, the connection to the white house did not click for me on this one, makes considerable differance.
-------
Understandable..That can happen when you don't read the news..ignorance.
-------
...in safe places,though, it's bliss.
-------
I read & heard the news, thank you, but it just didn't click, maybe i was just trying to focus my thoughts OFF of the situation, at any rate, I don't think that makes me ignorante and at least i am not rude as you seem to be.
-------
rude?..I thought we understood each other differ-ance, ..ignor-ance..play on words, what that was. Good idea . Would also love to focus OFF the situation right now. I don't like rude either.
-------
sorry I misunderstood, not having a good day today, so just IGNORE me.
-------
Glad the poem sparked your interest. The debate, in the country, about job performance versus morality is interesting. It suggests that many think, it is not necessary to have both. We've come a long a way, baby! == Jim

Oh, the unions wouldn't be so busy inconveniencing and bringing everyone else into disputes with businesses if morality and job performance were just better friends.
