Poem Number 7536
I am here, I love this sight, but the voice of the people have spoken, so I no longer will.
Words frozen by the beauty seen, I long to yell my heart's desires.
Commentary:
Meant no trouble with JFC just felt I had a right to my view also. So many poets I love reading & respect here and I resented his view that this wasn't a "SERIOUS" page. I don't agree with a lot of the comments made on his behalf, but I will be here because I love this page, I think it is both serious AND fun and I was here LONG before he came and it has always been a great page but I respect the majority's opinion and if his critique you want, then his critique you get--said & done! Love to all!

Lighten up---if this site means so much to you, over look any petty disagreement. We are creative people and like to have fun too.(although my playfulness has at times met with disfavor) As I see it there was no vote taken here. At least I didn't make one.Poems are our children and we don't like to see criticsm, but I for one need help along the way and accept it or not as I see fit. Come on--bring your words back and play. The playground will miss you. J.:))

This is a very sweet statement. No one really has to accept anyone's critique or comment. Our parents had been advising and counselling us for years, as we grew up. How much of it did we accept or follow? The point is, we should not muzzle the commenter, just because we do not agree with the comment. - Bud

Please, nobody speaks for me on this page, not JFC or anyone else! I, too, am a long time resident of this page. I have seen it when it was smooth and beautiful and when it reared up its ugly head in an attempt to destroy. Would be critics have come and gone, commentors, bent on disruption, have come and gone, but, through it all, the room has survived and excellent poetry continues to find its way onto the page. Take heart, this is a serious page! Let nothing chase you from a site that you enjoy. Continue to be supportive and overlook or ignore those comments that bother you too much; focus on the poems. Enjoy!

Thank you all for your comments, I did not write the second line, I never intended to go away, I love this sight. "J" I respect you and your work and I guess I did take some comments to seriouly myself but I hated to see people's work I respected and loved picked at. Whoever wrote the last comment thank you so much, you are so right critics HAVE indeed come and gone and I should have remembered that! And you are so right about wonderful, excellent poetry coming from this page that is why his comment of "not serious" hit me so hard! Love to all and thanks to all for many hours of delightful reading!

Nothing said above takes away anything from the fact that JFC a good poet, and a wonderful, well-meaning person. - Ed

come on Ed, don't stir things up again. anon has made amends. Anon apparently was hurt by a comment of JFC's but has said they overeacted. No one has said JFC is not a good/well meaning person so don't read something in that is not there. Lets drop it all!
-------
Good advice. And, I apologize for the "serious" crack, it was in poor taste. JFC
