Poem Number 6983
A Bargain

Commentary:
3 days of silence, i'd asked
    for calm and consideration
    and she handed me a whole lifetime
    just like that
    "It's a bargain ! No rotten ones", she insisted
    But i knew that to be false
    because i could see several withered tips
    at my end of that bundle.
    "And anyway, it's an offer you do not want to refuse"
    So there i stood, bundle in basket
    only one way
    to the counter
    but time
    lots of time
    to pay
~~~~~
-------
On the same train of thought, i found this one ---
luckily no other passengers, just the empty rear platform,
already disappearing in the distance :
.
Breaking
--------
You know the sudden feeling of a confidence
cracking, breaking
under the weight of your associations
gravity suddenly suspended
then the world turning, into a negative
black sun, cold grey waves
then sinking, knowing for sure
you've ventured too far out
to the dark openings in your growing relationship
that only blind love can skate
and where a joke rushing in
must surely drown
I am on the train my friend..tied in this chance bond togeather..bound in the bundle of vain strivings, to risk loss, to venture out too far, is to live, otherwise we build brick around our hearts. Is it better to love and loose than never love at all? I have lost and I have not lost but I will spin the wheel again and again..My homily for this Sunday morning , my love Allan....Jake
-------
yes you're right jake - corals grow where the water is rushing, the light is bright, we must go there - just, you can learn to watch your feet. I'm still learning. Your thoughts my friend, are a great support - love too, allan
-------
how wise jake is...spin the wheel again...how could i argue that?
