Poem Number 3953
The city is my home
The skyscrapers my sentinels
The traffic my busy neighbors
The passers-by the hustle of my world
The friendly stop lights
wink at me all day and night
as I lay huddled on my concrete mattress
dreaming of the better days
before I was counted among the homeless
consoled only by a bottle
in a brown paper bag

Commentary:
Seems to give the feeling alright but "consoled" should be capitalized..The Poetry Professor
-------
Anon: I, the real Poetry Professor, have had my name stolen by an immature and uneducated individual. The above comment, attributed to me, was not written by my hand. And, I have no idea why this person suggests that "consoled" should be capitalized?????? Very igornant comment!!! Please ignore it!!! To the imposter: Poetry does not have a set of rules and regulations regarding capitalization, grammar, etc. Read the poems listed as "haiku...caribbean!!!" Educate yourself!! .....the "real" Poetry Professor

-------
The first comment did seem a bit dubious, professor. I found it hard to believe that it came from an educated poet's mind. It's too bad that someone has decided to borrow your name. . .hmmn. . .I like the poem itself anyway. . .
Love ya'll all~

As the author of this work.I didn't take seriously, the bit about the capitalization. Glad I didn't. Someone was playing a naughty prank.J.:))
