Poem Number 3868
I lull my slef to sleep
With thoughts of revenge
For my stolen land and future
For peace and security and health stolen from my family
I think about guns and fire and rusty lengths of pipe
In my angry hands you and your greed could not stand
Nor would the people themselves denounce me
But the courts and the newspapers of the rich
Would engineer my final crucifixion
Let the Sherrif come for my land
I want to sleep again at night
Living as freely
As the dead

Commentary:
