Poem Number 23348
Hymn
---Sidhe

Commentary:
_Hymn_
At night
between your thighs
I learned faith.
In the darkness
light filled my being,
pure light rose like
incense and illumined me,
struck me,
held me down burning burnt
aflame alive I knew
and I knew
Wherever you are,
wherever you go,
some piece of you
has entered into me.
Some impossible
shred of your self
has passed out of the
silver tangle of
your nervous system and
across a vastness of flesh
to leap
from your soul
to my soul
And if I never see your face again
you will still be with me.
If I ever doubt that you once loved me
I will feel this spark of you
lodged burning hallelujah in my chest.

Sidhe
