left to cry
on the shoulders of
Time
as i watched from the side
a shadow
a witness ....
.... a witness of innocence
bloom into individual minds
able to laugh, scream & wrap their little arms around youth
.... a witness to strangers
painted with tears & heartbreak
drug use & abuse, lost ... lost in their their own hole-laden shoes
.... a witness of the moon & sun
leaving their daily blushes & shades
an ever-changing canvas, a reminder -- "tomorrow, it'll be okay"
.... a witness to global metamorphosis
her face .... aging, eroding
like hormonal movements with heat & cold -- "she's alive!"
i ...
i find myself
in awe
humbled
with such reminders all around
me
... what would
Time
do
without us
to spend it?
