Poem Number 23271
flypaper
Commentary:
i will call you when i get to walmart.
i will call you i'm sure
cause i can't go too far,
pulling on these wings.
there is a spark in the parking lot...
maybe it's opening up,
maybe it's time for a portal.
the wind is blowing.
forever.
( i do pray for the old ones. i do, secretly until now.)
i lost some legs pulling away from the trailerpark,
but i buzzed to pick up
some bread and smokes here from wlamrat.
gonna sit right here, by the outpost,
for at least two legs to grow back.
tired of flyin;
waiting,
and whispering, barely moving my mouth parts, praying
for the spark to portal
and spit out
some
you.

*smile* I like this--am not too sure about who the narrator is--at first I thought it was a friend/sweetheart and then it began to take on the character of a flying insect!! Still, I think the first impression is correct and the flying insect part is metaphoric!! Good job! JFC
