Poem Number 23243
i have no face to claim
---johnsonvdev, india
Commentary:
I have no face to claim
My face as a child
Lost it in my teenage
As the sea is lost to the beach
My teenage face
Lost it in my adulthood
As the dunes in a wind
My adult face
Lost to the old age
Burned off like a candle
And my old age face
Will be lost to the dust.
Melting down to the ocean of void
A faceless me
Where do I live
With that permanent sign
A faceless me.

there are some very good images here but it seems to suffer from translation.
IE.. if the dunes are lost to the wind and the wax is lost to the candle then by my reasoning the beach should be lost to the sea. Perhaps I am missing something and if so please correct me for I think the bones of the poem have merit

Thanks IE. You are right and it becomes more logical if I cahnge that line to... as the beach is lost to the sea...than vice versa. Very happy to do so and happier still that you read this with interest to notice. In fact its not the sae that is lost but the beach by the advancing sea....you are right..

I like the images of nothing lasting, nor staying the same, this can be tweaked into a great poem.
