Poem Number 23220
lace is like
a lie.
Pretty,
but full of holes
you wear it well.
Yes,
I do, don't I?
And, you?
What about you?
Me? I am trapped in the darkness
in the pits between
your lace and your lies
and only time
will unravel threads enough
to choke you
and free me.
In the meantime I weep for us both.
