Poem Number 23095
the flower and the ruins

Commentary:
i can still feel her tears echoing
down
the light rain of the past.
`
and the earth may smell and feel fresh
as we walk freely on it once again,
but bound by these steps.
`
neither moving nor stopping,
nor waiting but knowing;
this light rain
and its soft growing and dying.
`
the beauty of our ruins
reveal only the disgrace
of what it took to build them
`
as it is,
we no no other way to realize beauty.
