Root of All Evil
---Ben, ca
---b, c
They said money was the root
---Ben, c
of every evil in sight.
---b, c
Some billionaires shed their billions
---ben, c
to feed the poor and treat the sick
---ben, c
That can't be evil, I said.
---ben, c
The shoe-shine boy came over
---ben, c
put in his humble two cents.
---ben, c
I know the root of all evil
---ben, c
said the simple shoe polisher
---ben, c
I leave it outside the room
---ben, c
before I enter it
---ben, c
he said to the smirking proud men.
---ben, c
And what may that root be, asked one.
---ben, c
It's man's ego, said the shoe shiner.
---ben, c

---ben, c
---b, c
Whack! went his stained rag
---Anonymous
Commentary:
Yes, a man who will not let go of his own ego, is like a man going through life with blinders on. But ego is much easier seen in others than in oneself. Ego may indeed be the root of all evil, for a certainty it is dangerous when feed, because ego makes one right in their own eyes, think that the way they see things is exactly the way things are, gives them too great a vision of self-importance.

Very insightful analysis, anon = Ben
