Poem Number 23087
Ascolia
Commentary:
The tide came
it took us away
not necessarily an act of destruction
just to another place
worlds apart
beautiful disarray
Breathlessness, uncertainty
like saints whispering
the guardians of Ascolia
that place where we danced
the rhythm
comb-over sea
There we found evidence
that we are connected
like clouds mending on high ground
as the relentless demons
rippingly numb
slowly subside

I like this poem, whoever you are. Did you write the love poem next one after the next one? I like it too.

You can check who writes poems, if they decide not to leave their name at the bottom, by clicking "show author" at the very bottom of this page. And to answer you other question, no I did not. I don't write many love poems. My name is Jesse, by the way. Thanks for the nice comment.

Interesting poem. Yes, things once bonded, even when pulled apart, will always have traces of that bond that connect them, the "trace" evidence there, whether in greater or lesser degree, to be despised or cherished.
