Commentary:
i remember her,
her black tie
and red blouse
with oh so many
count them
buttons, collinear
an arrow pointing
to a face i could
not bear to look at

i remember her,
quiet and warm, the
blackness, the
contrast of her
effortless underwear
with the lightness
of her soft skin

i remember her,
her nails, raking
across my skin,
drawing white gutters
across my forearm,
just beneath my breasts; the
coolness of her
breath upon my skin

i remember her,
her easy smile,
restful contentment washing
across her face, i, at
the foot of the bed, one foot
up at her shoulder,
the other leg mixed
with yours

i remember her
when i sleep, when
i think about the
tomorrows that are
to come. i remember her
even when my memories
have not aged a second
within my mind. i remember her
in my dreams, in my
forthcomings. i remember her,
and her love for me.
