Poem Number 22954
I called to see if you were alright
The shadows the colors of my terrible dream last night
You were gone, it was so real
I woke up with a pit in my stomach
Death with it's cold reality
I can not explain the loss that I feel
A friend like you is so hard to find
All day I could'nt picture your face in my mind
I saw the blood dripping endlessly from the walls
The horror of loss this wake call
I know it is late, I had to call to see if you were alright
I am sobered by the truth of the eventual sunlight
Commentary:
I'm sure that the recipient of this call was delighted to know the dream. Thank God dreams are only dreams.
