Some act tough to protect
a soft personality.
Eggshell is solid around
soft watery contents.
Such persons also have

In days of yore,
there was a site
that brought out demons
in the night.
Terrible comments
thrust deathlike blows
into the poets
and put them in throes
of anguish, denial, and anger.
Them came the three,

something of a delight.

I feel that most poets or artistic human beings for that matter, have a very sensitive nature. Poetry is a sense of expression, a way of getting your feelings out, a release. Unfortunately when someone stomps on your feelings or release, it brings out that anger inside that is better left calm.
When I read poetry, it may not be my idea of poetry. But I can pick out a line or a few lines that stick to the memory, that I can relate to. This person lurking is a bit of a trouble maker. He or she obviously cannot relate to anything!

Thank you peace frog. I couldn't have said it better myself. Do you notice that most evil stompers are anonymous. They're afrid. Yellow cowards. Whoever wrote "pathetic". If they are referring to the lines of the poem, that was not a poem. Just a statement.

You are probably correct but what does posting here have to do with expression,
( getting you feelings out) or release? All that could be done by simply writing it and throwing it away. No, I believe if you are honest with yourself you will find the
reason you post here is that you have a need for approval and that you have found a clique that strokes you as you do them.

There's no way that anyone could see this site as a way to get sroked. A few stroke but many condemn and say ugly things. You are so perceptive in your comment about poets and artists having sensitive natures and the anger that results from being stomped on. But, I do not agree with you on your comment that there is a clique that makes you feel good on this site. There are a few who nice things but most say hideous things. Why does a site like this exist? I've wondered that for years. Why not stricter observance of the things that go on here by Ann Cantelow or sombody? Honest criticism is good. An artist needs to take it or leave it and that goes for poets too. But the cruel inane comments that permeate this site should be outlawed one way or another.
