Poem Number 22871
The lawn says some kind'a warlock lives here.
The lettering sems Old English but it is
Difficult to say from my vantage point
acromm the street and down the block
-----------------------------------------------------------
near the Mexican restaurant that says nothing
but nods slightly and almost stately above the door
and near the windows as if to say
come in you are welcome
------------------------------------------------------
I go inside
there are a few small tables and a bar
behind the bar is a man in a giant sombrero
I smile, ask for a Negra Modelo
-------------------------------------
He smiles back, his gold tooth gleaming in the afternoon sun
we don't need no stinking Modleo he sneers
Two can play this game I think rubbing my bottom lip with my thumb
Okay, I say make it Corona, you do have Corona
Jess, he grunts, everybody has Corona for Christ's sake
---------------------------------------------------------------------
and you idiot you put 5 lines in the last stanza
have you no poetic style whatso ever I expect next you'll be asking what the yard across the street is saying
in warlockish, everybody ask that and I always answer the same
------------------------------------------------------
It is not warlockish at all but Altiplanoish since the guy
thar owns it is from Peru and drives a Saab
AHAA the opening line makes sense now Altiplanoish and Warlockish
do sound the same if ther grass is k32 tall fescue
