Inspiration in a Park Sonnet

i like to make clever noises

Three dark children fishing
a splotch in the sky
and an old man casting
out something of his own from the lake side.
He appears to be contemplating
wether or not to engage suicide,
but knows in his old age,
in this life,
he is too pot committed.
But why not?
Life is like a helpless fish
getting its eye or jaw ripped out
by three children with mandible hooks
and flapping on a muddy bank.
