Golden Moment

It's the moment you remember
after you loved one is gone
one way, never to return
because of a move, alzheimers,
bad bad accident or death
The surprised face at breakfast
in bed on Mother's Day
Walking into a home just bought
Wheel-chaired child wins in the
Special Olympic games.
Long lost buddy shows up
to help when you're down and out.

When it happens, we often
do not know it is that
golden moment until
its maker is gone for good.
