Poem Number 22803
The ebony abyss rolls forward
a fierce wind howls endlessly
distant lights from homes, warm with life
an endless journey
The simplicity of it all
is that the path is not easy
and there will always be onlookers
safe in cocoons
while those less fortunate
ride on through the night
~~~~~
Commentary:
I cannot leave this poem with commment, I love it because it is my style. The words flow and you can't go wrong with ride on through the night to end a poem. Safe in cocoons, those are the first to throw those judgement stones.
