Poem Number 2275
I think I am napping my life away
My eyes half closed to the world
My heart half awake to to the world
My soul in slumber
My dreams are small and restless
They tumble in my heart
imagery in birds ...near quiet water
startled..rising as if one
whirling into distant black-line sentences
written in shadows on the fitfull worried mind
that in slow painful relinquishment gives up a child
to save the other two
So they might grow
Flourishing at full bloom
For others to see, know, and love
Though they can never truly call them their own
