Poem Number 22574
The Ripple Effect
Commentary:
There is a pitter-patter
upon the pavement.
Rain drops collide into infant leafs.
Echoes of song birds subsides with grief.
Gutters turn to flooded canals
rushing through these tired streets
and I am the captain forced to retreat.
For you couldn't tell if it was just a gully washer or a storm.
Circles form
and behold,
the ripple effect is born.
