Seeking Wordsmith

The pleasant peasant
would ogle with eagle eye
the mean queen sitting
next to the Ming King
talking in Peking
in the pagans' wagon
till hoarse behind the horse
This roiled the royals
like ailing aliens
with pomp facing a pimp
It did ignite their knight
Action breeds reaction
He galloped and walloped
the poor boar in the fore


lost the rhyme scheme
but kept the bad lore
nevertheless, the bird would say,
and then would say nevermore.

I am putting my comment in the comentary section to avoid having people think I write poems about poems or odes to anodes. Assuming that this epic is entitled "Seeking the Wordsmith", the meter can be fixed by losing the "a" in the tenth line. Then even the great Cosell would envy it's shine. As for the lore it's an old tale but it's one we sadly know well. ~Cooker

Anon who added 2 lines after the poem: If it's commentary, it should go in the commentary section as Cooker has done. Otherwise it's graffiti not poetry. If that is your forte, then stick to bathroom walls.

Absence of 'a' in the 10th line does improve it, Cooker. I don't know about Howard Cosell, but I do worry about William Buckley. In my poems I try to put two rhyming words in the same verse, and still try to make sense of the overall poem. Sometimes it comes out as a new tale, other times as an old tale or even lore. TP
