Poem Number 20666
Lawyer at Pearly Gates

"Not Guilty!" first words broke the silence
"Oh, I thought you were Satan" said St. Pete
"how could you be mistaken, pete, i am the crusader,
extinguisher of evil, czar of democracy, your president."
peter locked the gate, scratched his head and quieted his laughter,
"my president? you are mistaken, my friend. you are in the wrong place."
"in the last race, you placed, divine funds into my campaign,
said i would reign, spreading my seed, exceedingly across the globe!"
peter disrobed, probed the well dressed politician, now on his cell phone.
from a top a white cloud, thunder claps delivered a black suit lawyer.
