Poem Number 19704
After Eden
Commentary:
Ah, Eden, lost Eden!
Sometimes at night
I dream again of
your peace,
your comfort.
And, I mourn
the loss of what
was.
The wind blows
cold here,
outside Eden,
the sun burns
and weeds grow
where fields once stood.
My hands grow
calloused,
my steps labored,
and, yet, in the
midst of all
the pain,
there is hope,
for I've
been given
A Son!

Nice contrast and smooth read. I am curious about the challenge. Were you just given the title and took it from there? ms

Yes, the title or subject was "Here, Outside Eden"--- JFC

....and THAT HOPE, means everything. I couldn't face the future without it. Nice poem. Rae
