Poem Number 17434
mood shift
ground swell
Seas rising
Commentary:
open my mouth
to smile,
tuesday
sits calmly
on the tip of my tongue
wednesday,
i'm sleeping
sadness soaking into
my pillow
she's lovely,
and just as lonely
we keep the same glow
of unsane
days
are weeks
is a year
without

Love that first stanza, and also your ending. The end seems like just a pause, like we're still waiting for the poem to continue, waiting forever. And yet at the same time it /does/ have that ring of finality, the impact of a good ending.

I managed a break between 'unsane' and 'days' in a rewrite that made it a little more final, but I'm still not sure which I prefer. As always, I appreciate you guys showing me love.
