Want

Commentary:
Want

You give people what you want.
Stroking my hairline, gentle
thumbs, round and round
eyes kind and penetrating.
I gave her space.
She gave me attention.
You give people

what you want. You plant
and grow, you weed,
raking out the ghosts,
holding up the Shastas,
pushing back the darkness
you give them light and water.
They give you absolution.

I leave what I want,
stroking the inside of my
lips with my silent tongue.
Scattered, enervated
I write in darkness,
I sleep with your ghost
holding my pillow, I want

what you give. You hold
back her ghosts, push away
her darkness, all she wants
you hold. Your tenderness
sways your judgment
you give people what you
want in return. Return I

in want and give you
the benefit of the doubt,
compassion,warm arms to
hold back the dark ghosts.
Nothing you do will cause me
to not be your friend.
I stroke your hair,
I hold your gaze, I give
you what I want.

A great read, flicker! There are some really cool lines here and I love the circling feel it has.-jeffh

Very rare! Unique and extremely honest and real - sensual and tender, I relate. Almost cried. R.J.G.
