Poem Number 16365
*Translusient Music Princess* This is a really good poem, so take the two minutes and read it.

Commentary:
I think I loved you
that day
in that tiny litte room
where old men try to teach us
an entire language
that they don't understand
--
but you are fluent
in that language;
art is in your blood
and it flows thru every vein
in your body
engulfing each breath
released and
overtly etched
into everything you do
--
do you remember
that day?
you brought your guitar
and played stuff you'd written
for one beautiful hour
and the boys I were w/
were laughing at you
and I wanted to disappear
--
I often wonder
why the people I socialize w/
are the people I mock
in my poetry
and you
translusient music princess
I don't even know
your name
--
mabye I'll see you someday
w/ your outcast friends
who Id love to hug
but continue to pass
in the halls
and I only hope then
that I'll have the courage to say
what it is so simple to express
in writing
w/ so many words
glued to pages
w/out two gleaming beads of light
looking into me
and distracting me w/ beauty
I can't live
w/out

I often felt this way in high school. Trapped in my clique. Wanting to step out of my little coterie and share the views of some amazing , interesting and "unpopular" person three feet away yet a million miles removed. Good poem. Thanks for sharing. -jeffh

Thank you for all the wonderful comments everyone!!! This is really a love story though... hard to explain... but I'm glad that some people can relate.

I don't really like this very much but good job for trying, this is obviously your first attempt at poetry, and it really isn't all that bad, it's almost certainly not the worst I've ever seen. I really don't like it much though, and I don't think it's very good, but I think you should keep trying probably, though you really shouldn't feel bad if you decide that you're no good at poetry. We can't all be good at everything right? I have tried to be constructive w/out critisim. :)

I think this came from the bottom of your heart, and then deeper, and it really is taming the impossible to get truth into words. I am impressed. ~Twinn (I'm also not afraid to post my name) :)

Yes Twinn, your bravery can serve as an example to us all. You deserve a web award of some kind, I'm sure.
