Commentary:
Why do I search for him?
Why do I care?
Why do I bother when I know he's not there?
Why won't the image of his face leave my mind?
Why can't I meet another that kind?
Why does his scent still burn in my nose?
Why must that be the way that life flows?
How can I find him?
What can I do?
When will all this confusion be through?
How does he feel?
Does he feel the same?
Does he feel the wonder, the guilt, or the shame?
Does he question himself, the decisions me made?
Does he wish for another to come to his aid?
Does he want me to find him?
Does he even care?
Does he remember me?
Have I vanished in air?
Was it a sin?
Was it all wrong?
Was it an action to prove I'm not strong?
Was I not careful?
Was I too loose?
Am I to be punished for what I did chose?
All of these questions I ask here today
Will never be answered, I fear I must say.
They will never be settled, they will never be gone.
They will sing in my head a torturing song.
A song that I fear will not go away.
A song that I fear is now here to stay.
~Meg~

I enjoyed the flowing rhythm and rhyme. It's sad when the mind's images of a loved one begin to fade. ~ audee

I can relate only too well to the content of this poem meg. You described the familiar pain of heartbreak very fluidly. I was impressed with the effort to include rhyme and meter--'tis not easy for some! and you did it well. :) --mkn

Thank you for this poem, Meg. It described a lot of what I am feeling right now after being separated from someone I love.--Alison
