Reality or myth
Commentary:
"Reality or Myth"
`
Smiling, he wonders -----
`
"Who are you spirit ….
with your Hyacinth blue eyes
and soft delicate dark lashes.
`
A garden sprite come to me
in the gentle light of day, fresh from
your wanderings amongst the flowers
and twined vines.
Mellow after the day's warm sun, elusive
in your mistiness, revealing only the
part of face with your beautiful eyes
which reflect like light shards in clear
blue ocean.
`
Perhaps you are a water nymph come to
me on the salty fresh scented seaweed
breeze.
Or the spirit of a White Sea Eagle
gliding down to me from your lofty
craggy roost as wind whips the spray
from the crests of waves.
So playfully you play me that I know not
betwixt reality and myth.
`
You are like the sweet note of flute
humming me into your shadow, lifting
me in crescendo into your heart.
How charmingly you play with my heart
and my senses endearing yourself to me.
I know not who you are yet I feel I've
knowledge of you.
`
I suspect you are in my immediate future
and your spirit has crept ahead in time to
prepare the soil of my heart in reception
of your due planting.
You already know me don't you and
we are soon to become a reality."
`
Shaking himself free of his daydreams, he
hurries to catch the bus, bumping the female
figure rushing for its door, knocking her
books to the ground. Madly apologizing
in hurried breath, handing her the books,
he looks into wonderful Hyacinth blue eyes.
Shyly, she smiles at her wonderful dream man.
