Poem Number 15510
Can't find the hometown of my youth
i stepped outside and it was gone
now i'm left with only dust and the memories
and the darkness that paves the road ahead
yet within lies hope and i march ahead
as a believer in freedom, as a roamer of dreams

Thanks Norma, I added line 6. I was touched by your words because I am young but have traveled so much that I don't have a home town, but feel the longing for belonging. Even though, there is such stability in myself that hope is really an easy thing....so, I too march ahead ( to Spain.)

Arayin == Glad you liked theme and direction of poem. I did revisit my hometown after 20 years. It was same location on the map. In my heart, might as well been on Mars! == Norma
