Poem Number 15491
BLACK LIKE SUNSHINE

Commentary:
drip

drip

drip into these
walls

into these halls
of cinder blocks

broken clocks
tick

tick

tickle my insanity
the rest of me is
breathing in

the dark
hush

hush

hushed among the crusted
windows

light the hue
of factory billows
shine

shine

shine into my lonely room
and die

die

die

*INZANE*

IS MY POEM THAT GOOD OR DOES NOBODY WANT TO COMMENT ON IT? INZANE
-------
it sounds a little frightening INZANE, I'm not sure I want to intrude :-)Good job ---(you surely scared me off from visiting) ~ audee
-------
but if some aspiring angel
should slip a note under my door
persuading me to unbolt, unchain, and turn
west, to put
one halting step after another
Would I read it?
And if I did, and
rushed out to see
if she were real
into the black sunshine
of the factory-created gloom
within my grey cell(s)
Puking in the dim light
unsure and yet upright
through a quickening fog
to stumble on
until the dark fades
imperceptibly to dawn
When I fumble my way
past that scratchy veil
to come upon my day
pale gold, winter-cold
all white sand and far horizon
toeing the edge of the
impatiently shifting sea
Would I dare stay?
With your clear voice
O angel
help me to form
a trembling yes.
-------
hope that was ok. your words woke me up
flicker
-------
lovely commentary poem, it works well with the top one. Now I might come to see there, as your words did a good job to change my mind, :-) ~ audee :-)
