Lost in the cold damp winter night
the only company I have is the light
which binds me to a place of happiness
taking away deep rooted fears of loneliness
witnessing couples strolling down lovers lane
bringing back carefree days when I did the same
with her, the one who made me feel whole
with us, together united in soul
in our own world free of pain
but now nothing left except tear stains
on this distant forgotten face
forever thinking of the place
where her love left an empty space
and I found God's loving grace
