Full moon at Half Moon Bay
Wino downs half carafe of wine
Landscape blurry today

in the spring-flooded meadow
a snowy egret
Commentary:
Not a 5-7-5 Haiku. Any thoughts from pro or anti meter poets? -- Ben

I regret the egret in wrong place, though o.k. on its own separate island. -= Delia

Both haikus are good reads. ~ Ian

for the sake of enlightenment, why do you say the egret is in the wrong place? Should it be in a previous line?

I meant 'egret' haiku deserves to be a separate poem under its own number. -= Delia
