Poem Number 15276
Inverted
Csmith
Moonlight (Memory within a season) ©1999
Commentary:
Breath for me...please.
Underneath this weak facade
is cold, stark disease
that is refracted by only your nod.
-------
Floating facedown, invoking
the subversion of my will,
I claw the hands that are choking
my neck and coagulating my thrill.
-------
There you hover over my mind
with your ether of efficacy,
masterful, unlike any kind
which serves to pin my debauchery.
-------
Your smokescreen of trust
disguises me, it to lend
to my addiction of doubt, which must
be scorn to follow me til the end.

My apologies Csmith, I mistakenly added the last line in the title, thinking that I was submitting my own poetic prose...Interesting poem though....sorry again. -PD-
