Three foot deep with canoe
you definitely row
If shallow with no aid
you've no choice but to wade

Think on this a moment more
God's hand moves and you are at the shore
On solid ground your feet will land
Tis better than a wade thru sand.
Hold on, here's another thought...
what if, in god's hand you're caught
thinking that you're free from sin
then find out god's a Mus - l - im

Hang on m, what god are you talkin' about
I know my god , he's true and I don't doubt
He's reliable and will take me by my hand
He'll lead me safely to the rock, His land!
Anon, that's super! whoa! that's great!

you needn't choose 'tween ROW or WADE.

I was laughing as I spoke
but it's only half a joke
their god's immortal, omni-potent...
well, was there ever one that wasn't??
m joke you may and snipe you will
you couldn't pass by, couldn't sit still,
you had to stop and add your worth
you think it's funny, you think it's mirth,
afterall, it's just a poem, not a comment,
and shoved down someone's throat it wasn't meant
You took it serious and had your jibe
You think your smart, but you cannot hide
behind your excuse to write in here
this poem, in which you lear!
But don't worry dear, dear boy,
You can shove your words ---
where it gives you the most joy!

The way I see it Grace, someone used a perfectly innocent poem to shove their beliefs down everyone's throat. Well, I gagged.
Personally, I don't think I was cruel, I thought my response was restrained and humorous, and, hey, it almost rhymed!
