Poem Number 14820
the silence of waiting
another
day closes with the hope of reuniting
those torn from each other
while the hours pass unnoticed

Commentary:
in the waiting there is a silence
like a chill inside the mind
when slow moments stand in rows
for the extinguishing of time
knows no anguish or regret
its focus is precise
keeps its quiet vigil
till the final breath subsides
then the yearning of eternity
overwhelms the ancient fear
gently easing the release
of dominion held so dear

That agony of waiting we all experience sometimes, very well expressed in this poem. = Merkel
