black eyes stare from Mexican heat

the boxers return to their corners as two crows

divebomb the fallen bloody mouthpiece still spinning like a top

Ones better, but they both look beat.

The fans won't need a score to see how this one goes,

If one fighter was sober that might be a reason to stop.

They started early collecting the scrub

and a merchant had donated tie wire to lash it

The bleachers were stable, which was reason enough to fight on.
