More Words

I look at the screen
no words to be found
What does it mean?
Where is their sound?

They have disappeared
there’s a blankness of mind
It’s as I have feared
the words I can't find

They are hiding somewhere
behind some distant thought
sometime they'll be there;
and words will be brought

back into my brain
that day will arrive
when words will rain
onto the page, coming alive

Yes, here they are
flowing in streams
I thought them too far
from today’s daydreams

I just had to wait
for the right one to come
into my thoughts
to get this poem done
