Poem Number 13178
As we step out into the darkness I instictivly notice the rising breeze. Without asking I know your thoughts. I gaze with a childs wide eyes at the gentle swaying trees, I know the rain is coming...
---Anonymous
I can feel the excitment building in my body as we walk with our faces lifted to the wind. In the open now I can see in the West the pure darkness I know is the storm.
---Anonymous
Adrenaline surges through my body as the first drops touch my skin. I can now here that whistling sound that comes with the rising wind, it fills my ears with bliss.
---Anonymous
As we turn down a new path the rain begins stinging the back of my neck. A small chill runs down my spine as I strip my outer shirt off. The feeling of the cool water running down my back calms me.
---Anonymous
The whistling is now a highpitched scream. We are faced with a neverending wall of water. Lukewarm liquid covers everything, the streets are overflowing with it, the grass oozes it from every crack.
---Anonymous
The street lights appear hazily against the drifting sky. A new surge of adrenaline catches me as everything is illuminated by nature strobe.
---Anonymous
One...two...three I count before a horrific burst of thunder makes known it's presence. The emptiness of town at this hour adds feeling to the phenomenon we are experiencing.
---Anonymous
As we sit on your steps throughout the night staring quietly at the heavens, I realize why you are my best friend.

Glow: Wonderful words!! This is the best of your work I've seen yet. We had a storm here today. Storms are so rare here and I love them so!! You are a real writer huh Glow!!!!
-------
Anon-Thanks for the kind words! However, although I wish to one day be a writer, because I am currently engaged in the battle of High School, it shall have to wait.

Now you've answered my question Glow. You mentioned you were young. Your writing shows the freshness, the untaintedness and enthusiam of youth. You've got it kid, the writer's gift or curse be that as it may. I think you're stuck with a pen in your hand or a computer in your face for the rest of your life if you remain true to youself.
-------
Anon-I shall try!

Glow, you've managed to capture in this thing above some of the things that have made and some still do my life worthwhile. I can not go back to that wonderful confusion of sexual desire and romance that was Love sweet love. Sharing something with a friend has to be one of life's greatest treasures. Storms, can you beath em? They are wonderful. (Some in Florida and the Carolinas might disagree. Go for it kid!!!
