Poem Number 12875
Oh silent moon of countless eons,
that peeled orbiting eye in the sky,
and giant bright tape from ancient past!

You saw pharoahs build the Pyramids;
Sphynx took shape as you hovered above;
just replay your tape of those heydays.
Hollywood only dreams; give us facts!

Hanging Gardens of Babyon
were designed and built right before you;
please tell us how that wonder was done!

You witnessed Moses fleeing Egypt;
and Jesus Christ being crucified;
beg you to say what you observed!

Under your watch, great Alexander
conquered all of the ancient world;
Caesar fell for Cleopatra.
Can you not utter a thing on that?!

Were you not up there, when the Monguls
destroyed Baghdad--jewell of its time,
and Black Plague killed millios in Europe?

Why can't you say something, instead of
going around in eerie silence?!
