I want a thought, an idea to write
That has never been written before
But alas I doubt there is any thought left
That somewhere in time has never been thought
Or artfully expressed and then I think
The universe doesn't seem so big after all.

There is only one you. So write "yourself". So what if it's been said before, never by you!!!

Even things you write about yourself you find someone else has been there, done that, the author is right, I have thought the same thing which proves their point! Liked the poem though. sm
